Background
The Addison Crescent Estate was built in the
1920’s and is mainly council owned with residents having a right to buy.
It is about 2 miles south of Manchester City Centre and has many
traffic generators in the area including Manchester United Football
Ground, Lancashire Cricket Ground, The Trafford Centre and the proposed
Metrolink Depot. The estate has suffered many problems in recent
years, including crime, anti-social behaviour, poor security and a
declining sense of community.
