Background
The
South West Burnley area is one of the most deprived areas in Burnley.
The Home Zone is centred on 80 densely constructed terraced houses
which were built in the 1900’s. The main road running through the
area is used as a rat run to avoid the main trunk roads, hence the
accident rate for the area is very high. There is a small area of
open space which at present is used for fly tipping and dog walking.
