Luton Borough Council

Background

Lewsey Farm is in the Lewsey Ward and situated 3 miles from the town centre.  The properties, mostly privately owned, are semi-detached in short terraces with small gardens.  There is a public open space surrounded by fencing but with no easy access across from the houses.

Scheme Objectives

Return the roads to quiet residential streets where children, pedestrians and cyclists enjoy greater freedom and less fear of vehicular traffic.
Enhance local environment through landscaping and tree planting and give access to the public open space.

Impacts
